Description
The Principal Consultant is involved in large and multiple engagements and understands and appreciates SAP offerings and SAP product capabilities. He / she utilizes his / her industry skills with SAP product skills to leverage new opportunities for the organization.
The Principal Consultant has overall responsibility for project results including quality of deliverables, customer satisfaction and timelines. The Principal Consultant provides direction from Industry Specific or new offering perspectives to the project team. He / She would also perform specific tasks based on the demands of the project.
Essential Functions
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously while:
- Providing industry specific solutions & best practices to customers.
- Developing a solution framework and an implementation plan for industry specific projects (at times using new dimension products).
- Conducting strategic level workshops with customers to drive a SAP solution for acceptance and implementation.
- Using and ensuring that SAP solution maps, implementation and other relevant SAP methodologies/tools are effectively deployed in customer strategic workshops & deliveries.
- Ensuring solutions are delivered on time and are of high quality.
- Working with the Project Manager/Programme Manager/Consulting Manager in drafting project plan (Scope, Deliverables, Timeline and Resources), identifying team members, and preparing & assisting in the preparation of work plans.
- Leading the execution of assigned project tasks in areas of demonstrated competence. This includes facilitating meetings/task groups, tracking and managing task group progress, tracking project deliverables, etc.
- Writing and publishing white papers.

- Engage with the customers by:
- Analyzing customer's business processes and designing the appropriate SAP solution. Moving logically and creatively from facts to conclusions.
- Maintaining and expanding customer contact at a high level and building credible relationships with key customer personnel.
Required Qualifications
General degree or equivalent/recognized professional qualifications.
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Deep proficiency in core module of SAP with 10-12 years of SAP functional experience and industry knowledge.
- Lateral knowledge of all complementary modules and with the ability to be deployable in a second module.
- SME on business process and solution
- Exposure to Fashion or CI in a working capacity for at least 5 yrs.
- Thorough understanding of integrated business environments.
- Knowledge and experience in the Rizing Implementation methodology.
- A minimum of 8 complete project life cycles in a SAP consulting capacity.

Environment and Special Considerations:
- Works within a professional office environment.
- Routine business travel required.
