The Finance Solution Architect is a very dynamic, multi-faceted role which includes leading SAP S/4 HANA private cloud implementations, serving as a trusted Finance expert, advisor and mentor to the Rizing EAM team and contributing to business development through leading complex discussions with clients and potential clients to promote Rizing’s latest offerings. This role will have substantial influence and input into the overall design and will coach both the Rizing team and the customer in adoption of SAP best practices. #LI-JH1
Our ideal candidate can be based anywhere in the US or Canada and have the willingness for 25-50% travel to client engagements throughout this region.
Essential Functions
- Provides strategic guidance for SAP project planning, integration and overall solution architecture.
- Provides project leadership to Professional Services team members to implement best practice decisions that successfully impact the overall platform.
- Provides guidance in promoting designs, tools, and new features that take full advantage of SAP and Rizing’s most up-to-date offerings.
- Supports project leads in translating business goals into appropriate solutions while assessing feasibility and optimization of the solution.
- Supports strong business development initiatives by communicating with current and potential clients regarding expanded capabilities, features, and solutions most applicable to their needs.
- Obtains new business by collaborating with Business Development to provide workshops, write RFP responses, and problem-solve unique client challenges.
- Cultivates industry-specific business process knowledge and familiarity with relevant functional strategies, objectives, and plans through networking with product and topic-specific expert groups, internally and externally.
- Provides input on training and expands upon SAP skillset and knowledge of industry trends/technologies by participating in Rizing competency centers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Finance, or other related field; relevant experience can be substituted for degree.
- 8-10 years of experience in a hands-on SAP FICO implementation role.
- Multiple full lifecycle implementations of S/4HANA Finance and Controlling as a Workstream Lead and/or Solution Architect.
- Deep Understanding of SAP best practices used in Finance and Controlling business processes, including Month End/Year End Close, Order to Cash, Req to Check, Dunning, etc.
- Experience and familiarity with SAP solutions to include Treasury, Fixed Asset Accounting (FI-AA), and Lease Accounting (RE-FX-LA).
- SAP G/L, Chart of Accounts and Org Structure Design, and ability to optimally combine and restructure data from multiple legacy systems as part of the design.
- Implementation experience across multiple industries. Experience in asset-intensive industries preferred (e.g., Oil & Gas, Utilities, Transportation, Manufacturing, etc.).
- Significant knowledgeable related to Finance integration with other areas of SAP S/4HANA, including RE-FX, Sales & Distribution, Plant Maintenance, Project Portfolio Management, Project Systems , Materials Management, Production Planning, etc.
- Revenue Recognition experience, to include design and implementation experience with CO-PA.
- Multi-bank integration experience.
Desired Qualifications
- SAP S/4 HANA certification.
- Previous leadership or mentoring role.
