Description

The Manager – Shared Services is a key member of the regional financial operations management team, who acts as a subject matter expert to the business on a range of Shared service activities performed on behalf of the region such as revenue recognition, forecasting, invoicing and other shared service activities. This role leads a team responsible for tracking revenue, managing project administration, accounts payable, issuing invoices, ensuring payments are received and accurately recorded and other Shared service activities performed on behalf of the region such as bank reconciliations and mater data maintenance, etc.

Essential Functions

  • Accountable for the accuracy of revenue and unbilled revenue on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain familiarity with active customer contracts.
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable function of Rizing within the designated area.
  • Manage a team of transactional finance personnel responsible for revenue recognition, forecasting and invoicing, accounts payable and project administration.
  • Perform the duties of a Revenue Specialist to the degree necessary to achieve the organization’s objectives.
  • Monitor KPI’s to ensure revenue processes are operating at the required level. Reconcile customer payments.
  • Perform daily financial transactions such as verifying, calculating and posting accounts receivable data.
  • Work closely with other managers across the finance team.
  • Support the month-end process.
  • Support / Spearhead FI system changes on behalf of the regions.
  • Manage other shared services activities of the regions such as Bank reconciliations, Mater data maintenance, etc Ad-hoc/Month end reporting / Analysis / receivables/payables reports.
  • Ensure collections processes are followed, escalations to business, statements of account, dunning letters and subsequent escalations as necessary.
  • Ensure vendor set-up is controlled and accurate.
  • Update and maintain vendor contracts.
  • Validate accounts payable posting.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience.
  • Previous managerial experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Member of a recognized Professional body such as CIMA / ACCA / CA.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Experience performing the full function of accounts receivable duties.
  • Sound understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and regional credit regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Staff management experience preferred.
  • Discretion and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight timelines as well as handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A willingness to step in and get the job done.
  • Process-driven.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understand the importance of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A team ethic, positive, proactive, flexible attitude and ability to take ownership of responsibilities.
