Description

Ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment of customer invoices to maintain proper cash flow. Responsible for timely and accurate submission of invoices to customers. Follow up on delinquent invoices and provide necessary support to customers to ensure payment is received.

Revenue recognition: is responsible for applying principals of accounting to record, analyze and monitor all revenue from projects and subscriptions. Work with project manager to ensure that project data is correct, and revenue recognized is aligned with work performed so that revenue is accurately reflected in the financial statements. Provide analysis to management to support revenue recognized and revenue to be recognized through the Unbilled Receivables and Deferred Revenue reconciliations.

Essential Functions

Prepare and send invoices to customers according to contract terms

Manage Accounts Receivable portfolio. Contact customers regarding delinquent invoices to facilitate payment

Posts customer payments by recording checks, wire and ACH payments and promptly investigate any discrepanciesResearch any account discrepancies and work with sales and project managers to resolve issues and facilitate collections in a timely manner to accelerate cash flow

Respond to customer request and provide support

Prepare weekly AR aging and collection report

Revenue Recognition (Including revenue calculation for projects and subscriptions, preparing and uploading revenue to the GL, reconciling deferred and unbilled GL accounts)

AR Cash Forecast

Assist in year-end audit by providing information based on requests received from auditors.

Required Qualifications
  • 3 years of staff accountant experience or experience in a related position that encompasses key functions of reconcilement, analysis, and report writing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of SAP software.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KBAs)
  • Intermediate knowledge and utilization of Microsoft Office, Excel (Pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s), Word, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Ability to attentively listen and effectively communicate in writing and verbally in order to build relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to manage time, handle multiple activities/projects, and shift priorities with a high degree of attention to detail.
