Description

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of a project in terms of scope, deliverables, timeline, budget, customer satisfaction and project team satisfaction. The Project Manager is a window through which the customer views SAP and attune. 

As Project Manager (PM), the candidate will manage a team of Solution/Technical Architects, Stream Leads, Senior Consultants, and Consultants who are responsible for delivery of the work related to the execution of the project, whilst managing the people, scope, timeline, and budget. The PM works with the client’s project managers on project planning, delivery, and execution. The Project Manager will also work with the Regional Head of Professional Services (or the President for attune EU), in ensuring successful project delivery.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and expand client’s contact at high levels and be viewed as the trusted advisor to the customer, demonstrating the ability to connect with customers to discuss Risks, Issues, Dependencies, to come up with mitigation plans, and ensure the progress of the project without any showstoppers
  • Take ownership by leading, guiding, and motivating the project team, driving results, providing appropriate support to the teams when needed, involving the Program Directors/ Managers and/or the attune Management if required 
  • Ensure that the detailed plans for each phase, including the workshops schedules during High Level Design phase, as well as the Master project plan are in place working in conjunction with the Leads, Solution and Technical Architects 
  • Establishing the approach and mechanism to capture Risks, Issues and Dependencies and ensuring the adherence to the process by the customer and the attune project team members
  • Managing scope of the project in collaboration with the customer counterpart, ensuring adherence to a Change Request process
  • Make clear the roles and responsibilities of the internal and customer project teams and ensure output and results from both customer and consultant teams
  • Addressing any Project related resourcing and skill set needs, cross checking against the Baseline Plans prepared for the project and communicating the needs to the Project Leadership, attune Management and Customer Management teams
  • Managing relationships with other partners involved in the delivery of the project 
  • Working with the other partners involved in coming up with the detailed plans for each partner as well as incorporating these individual plans into the Master project plan ensuring the other partners involved adhere to the established plans
  • Managing of Stakeholders, both internal and external for the at Project Leadership level

Essential Functions (Continued)

  • Providing the support and the data needed for the timely project reporting, both operational and financials, on a weekly basis
  • Prepare for or provide support in the preparation of Steering Meeting presentations
  • Ensuring the adherence to the established project governance structure, escalation paths and meeting cadences
  • Publish the detailed plan and share with all internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the project progress and performance tracking (Planned VS Actuals) against the established plans are in place
  • Resolve internal/external issues without affecting the project timelines, delivery plans, milestones etc.
  • Call out any potential delays pro-actively to the Project Leadership team along with possible mitigation plans
  • Report exception/problems and concerns to the Project Leadership team (or to the attune Management and Customer Management) and work to resolve the exceptions/problems
  • Propagating the attune culture through actions and be a role model for the others in the project team to follow

  • Invest time in the professional development of other consultants through coaching and mentoring 
  • Be a role model through dedication to customer service, problem solving and demonstrating a high level of capability
  • Being capable and available for interviewing candidates for potential opportunities within the company
  • Perform any additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when required by the management

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of project management experience in SAP implementation projects
  • Excellent project planning skills at a high, medium, and very detailed level. Ability to know when each is required. (Appreciation of complex implementation of an integrated application)
  • Having SAP Functional or Technical background is beneficial
  • Exposure to the Fashion and Lifestyle Industry
  • Must have led projects with 50+ team members
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience working with international clients / teams
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. Ability to articulate ideas and opinions to all stakeholders
  • Excellent customer-facing skills 
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
