As a member of the Organizational Change Management (OCM) team, provides leadership and coaching to a group of Consultants and Senior Consultants in order to facilitate implementation of SAP Solutions within the consumer Industry. Provides consulting services on what SAP application/solution is most appropriate for each client. Ensures accountability for project milestones and meets project delivery expectations. Utilizes industry knowledge and expertise to ensure successful implementations. Coaches, supports and mentors the project team in order to drive strategic initiatives ranging from sales initiatives to employee retention programs.

Essential Functions

The OCM - Consulting Manager is responsible for the process of preparing an organization and its people for the adoption of new processes and business capabilities. In this role, you will be accountable for the behavioral and cultural aspects of change an organization experiences when implementing a new retail enterprise-wide system. You will manage OCM workstreams including; OCM planning, leadership alignment, stakeholder engagement, organizational structure, communications, and training.

  • Lead OCM workstreams for client engagements and internal initiatives including:
  • OCM Planning – development and execution of OCM strategy and work plans, identifying key stakeholders, establishing OCM governance, and defining client target success factors.
  • Leadership Alignment - achieve common understanding of project vision, goals, objectives using coaching techniques to align the organization’s leadership.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - execution of leading practices and tools to engage organizational workforce and maximize organizational readiness.
  • Communications – use all available media to drive the organization’s commitment.
  • Training – Execute comprehensive training strategies and administer training environments to support training workstream.
  • Organizational Design – align future state strategy and processes with target operating model.
  • Program Effectiveness – manage all aspects of project team effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership to project team members and actively participate in staff development and OCM practice management.
  • Build long-term business relationships with key executives through engagement delivery and networking in professional organizations, including contributing to the OCM artifact library and intellectual property.
  • Deep understanding of business processes, project management methodologies and leading practices.
  • Participate in business development by identifying new opportunities and assisting with proposal response.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of relevant work experience related to digital change management or human resource consulting, with two years of experience in advisory services within a major consulting firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline from an accredited college/university; MBA or an advanced degree from an accredited college/university is preferred.
  • Experience leading business transformation projects with previous experience leading large-scale organizational change management efforts.
  • Experience leveraging MS Office 365 suite including PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, and other Microsoft tools to develop work plans, analyze data, and structure information.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with clients and colleagues.

Desired Qualifications

  • Multiple full cycle SAP implementations.
  • Prosci Certification
  • Leadership classes and/or courses.
  • Consumer Industries experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Advanced knowledge of structured implementation project methodologies and tools.
  • Expert knowledge in specific industry and area of expertise to include how SAP software is used in the client’s business environment and how the SAP Solution will enhance the overall business and technical processes.
  • Expert understanding of SAP business processes, strong configuration, design and development.
  • Advanced MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Ability to rapidly understand new concepts/solutions with ability to understand and follow the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to project and company goals.
  • Ability to manage project activities/teams, including motivating and inspiring others.
  • Ability to attentively listen and effectively communicate with clients in order to build relationships to include effectively articulating ideas to various audiences, creating and delivering presentations, facilitating focus groups and workshops.
  • Ability to assess and assist clients with existing systems and optimize their solutions using existing knowledge of system functionality and best practice recommendations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse project team, deploying the features and functions of SAP products as outlined in the Statement of Work.
  • Ability to build relationships with a variety of groups including executives, managers, consultants, and clients.
  • Ability to engage and work with the client team, reach out internally to support or provide insight when working on problem statement, technical design or configuration challenges.
  • Ability to creatively analyze and solve complex problems, with the ability to implement resolutions.
  • Ability to think in abstracts and logically, diligently asking probing questions and recommending solutions.
  • Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.
  • Ability to establish and manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work long hours, including weekend hours to ensure deliverable commitments are on delivered on time.
  • Ability to coach/train/mentor less experienced consultants and manage off-shore resources.
